Raymond E. Buchner, Jr.
Raymond E. Buchner, Jr. serves as President of RE/Group Development Advisors, Inc. headquartered
in Malvern, Pennsylvania. In addition to directing the strategic objectives
of RE/Group Development Advisors, Inc. Ray is directly involved in the structure
and delivery of the varied services provided to RE/Group Development Advisors, Inc. clients. With
over 20 years of senior level experience in all facets of commercial real
estate development, his expertise consists of targeting profit opportunities,
strategic planning, deal structuring, site selection, design guidance, development
management, construction administration, contract negotiations, and dispute
mediation. As chief advisor for some of the regions most prestigious companies,
Ray has directed more than 55 build-to-suit, speculative, corporate campus,
tenant improvement, and asset repositioning projects for clients in Pennsylvania,
Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Texas and Colorado. He is often invited to
advise companies on tenant/landlord issues due to his balanced experience
meeting the requirements of both tenants and developers.
Ray has participated in some of the region's most complex and prestigious
assignments. These include CFM Technologies phased 240,000 square foot corporate
campus in Exton, Pennsylvania, Wyeth-Ayerst's new 3 story office facility
in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and a speculative 3 story, 105,000 square
foot "Class A" office building for Liberty Property Trust, located
in Horsham, Pennsylvania.
Prior to establishing RE/Group Development Advisors, Inc. in 1988, Ray was a Senior Vice President
of the Vantage Companies, one of the nations largest developers, and a development
manager with Rouse and Associates. While with the Vantage Companies, he directed
the development of more than 6 million square feet of both speculative and
build-to-suit properties, including 3 corporate office parks, a 14 story
office tower, a variety of mid-rise suburban office buildings, flex facilities,
distribution center warehouses, and numerous retail centers.
Ray received his professional architectural degree from the University
of Texas, where he was recognized with Phi Kappa Phi honors. He is a member
of the American Institute of Architects, Chester County Commercial Industrial
Investment Council, The Eastern Technology Council, and is also active in
the Chester County Development Council. Ray has been recognized by the City
of Aurora, East Whiteland Township, the Society of Architectural Administrators,
Hughes Management Services, and the Main Line Emergency Management Advisory
Council for professional accomplishments and community involvement.
